Linda Summerfield and Evanston Made are partnering to raise funds for Colin Kaepernick’s Know Your Rights Legal Defense Initiative with a Mail Art Fundraiser! Mail Art from around the world will be on display in the windows at 1100 Florence Gallery and online, and sold for $50 each, all funds go to the cause. Stay tuned for a slide show of mail art postcards and instructions on how to purchase.
Collect for a Cause - We asked artists to create original works of art on postcards and mail it through the U.S. Postal Service to call attention to causes they hold dear. Over 50 artists responded with messages ranging from the importance of voting to endangered species. The participating artists graciously donated their postcards to Evanston Made to raise money for Colin Kaepernick's Know Your Rights Camp.

About the event organizers..
Linda Summerfield
I find beauty and usefulness in discarded items and ephemera. I layer and reconstruct these found items to take a critical view of social, political and cultural issue. My greatest influences come from the collages of Ray Johnson, the assemblages of Joseph Cornell, and the drawings of Henry Darger.
