Join us for an afternoon with author and artist Linda Gent Johnson, Sunday, March 12, 1-4p, at 1100 Florence Gallery.
Linda is a long-time Evanstonian and educator who published a book about researching family, buying a house, and living in Umbria, Italy for 18 summers.
An Evanston Made member, Linda will read excerpts from her personal and entertaining book, Il Girasole: Summers in Umbria, and talk about the inspiration for her accompanying works of art on display in the gallery.
Linda started researching her family tree in the late ‘80s, began connecting with her "new family" in Italy in the ‘90s, and then decided to buy a small house in the small town of Purello that had been in the family for generations.
This event is free and open to the public. Limited to 30, please RSVP here.
Hosted at 1100 Florence Gallery, 1100 Florence Ave., Sunday, March 12, 1-3p.
